Hi all, making this post for anyone out there still looking for a Pegasus Hoof, which is a fully programmable replacement controller for Filco Majestouch TKL variants (87/88 key). This board is only guaranteed compatible with the following PCBs, so double check your keyboard's PCB to be sure:

I needed a Pegasus Hoof recently, but they're so hard to find so I ended up making my own thanks to https://github.com/Tecsmith/flying-horse-foot. The minimum order was 5 boards, 3 of them are up for sale today.

To summarize this newer "v3.1" revision, here are some key takeaways from the repo:

This body of work is my attempt to build a clone of "The Pegasus Hoof" keyboard controller.

This revision is schematically equivalent to (v2) Rev. 20150108, with a few additional features:

An SPI6 AVR programming header is added for easier flashing - do not populate these pins on a deployed keyboard.
There are 3 hardware reset options:
The original magnetic reed-switch option is available, can be disabled to prevent unintended resets once the keyboard is deployed - scratch off the trace between JP1 to disconnect the reed switch from the circuit.
A reset 0.1-inch 2-pin set is provided for easy resets during programming - short the pins with a tweezer or similar.
An optional physical switch can be added to the board for press-button resetting.
Added an optional ESD protection circuit ensuring the inbound USB line cannot damage the board.

Of these new optional components, the controllers for sale today include:

\ ^(This was just one method for easier resets for programming, but these boards are already pre-flashed and can be "reset" through a reset key mapped on layer 1. As well as the physical switch is available if absolutely necessary.)

\ ^(Want to be as transparent as possible here, these cost me $15 each to manufacture and took me many hours learning how to get this all professionally fabricated and professionally assembled, courtesy of JLCPCB. After fees and shipping I'm netting less than $10 per board, which I feel is fair.)

Each controller has already been pre-flashed with VIA-enabled QMK firmware (specifically the 2015 version of `keyboards/bpiphany/pegasushoof` in the `qmk/qmk_firmware` GitHub repo), so it's drop-in ready and already fully tested on my personal Majestouch 2 Camo TKL (CST-F87/88/89/91-MB V2.0). If you're not familiar with VIA, it allows remapping on the fly without needing to constantly update a keymap file and flash. Of course you can always re-flash the board with whatever compatible firmware you wish.

Note about LEDs: These boards are built to expect blue LEDs (for caps/scroll lock indicators), so if your Filco happens to use red LEDs (some models do) they may not light up, everything else will still function like normal. Something to keep in mind if using the keyboard with a mac is that macOS does not have a native scroll lock, so although scroll lock might be mapped, it will not work (and subsequently will not trigger the corresponding LED). The scroll lock LED (assuming it's blue) will illuminate correctly when used on windows.
