# About the keyboard

The Charybdis is a powerful ergonomic keyboard with a trackball designed to bring you the best of ergonomics available on the market, with a feature-full keymap and powerful thumb cluster. Its concave shape reduces finger travel, and ensures the keys are optimally placed under your hands. The trackball completely replaces your mouse with plenty of shortcuts available, and is conveniently placed close to the thumb. Fully open source, it can be easily configured to fit your exact needs.

I will also include some spares, like:

You can rest easy having replacement parts you might need. If you're not up to DIY, that's fine. I'm including 6 months warranty in case something breaks, i.e. some keys stop working – a standard electronic device warranty that does not entail mechanical damage. You can send it in for a repair, and I'll send it back at my cost. This is up to our agreement as honest people. I'm just a guy who built this as a hobby. I want to make sure it serves you well, and you can feel safe purchasing from me.
