Description

I purchased a RolyPoly Ortho 40 recently. The majority of the switches are Khail hotswap switches but the height of the PCB and the case require some switches to be mill max sockets.

I was swapping out switches recently and one of the internal metal parts of one of the mill max sockets broke off - I didn't see it come out until I was testing the keys and one wasn't responding.

In this picture from the back of the PCB, you can see the two highlighted points of contact of the broken mill max socket - the left one is the broken one where there is no metal connector in the PCB any longer, the right one is still (I believe) intact.

Through some research and talking with people on various Discords, it does seem like this is repairable but I have no soldering experience or equipment. But I do have money.

I know there used to be build services offered here. I have the feeling they are less common given the abundance of hotswap boards these days, but I would love if someone is able to help with this.

I haven't purchased any replacement sockets yet, but my idea was to send socket parts along with the PCB for repair.
